On the road again...
We woke up and headed out to a nearby laneway for a quick bite to eat, before checking out and catching the tram to the Arts Precinct, where our carriage was waiting for us!

At the start of the year we decided that it would be a good idea to go skiing and snowboarding - but due to our dodgy knees we thought it would be great to go in Australia, rather than go overseas and be stuck in another country in a ski resort if we just couldn't hack it.
Today was our last breakfast, and how better to celebrate than with crepes?
We were leaving Singapore at 3.45pm so we had some time in the morning to explore. And we decided to walk to a nearby place for Kaya toast.
Today we are leaving Hong Kong and making our way to Singapore.
We woke up nice and early to have showers and headed to the transfer desk to pick up our boarding passes for our next 2 flights: Singapore to KL and then KL to Hong Kong. We then headed to the lounge and I found a room with a massage chair! Score! I spent the next half hour here before joining Ben for a light breakfast.
We were checking out of the Sheraton Senggigi today, so I spoiled myself with 2 crepes for breakfast - both were delicious.
This trip was planned around a combination of food and relaxation, with stays planned in Lombok, Hong Kong and Singapore.
We left San Sebastian today, but not before having breakfast :)
So we woke up, checked out and headed to Chocolat, my favourite churros place. This time the churros were fresh and the place was packed. What’s worse, it was packed with Australians :(
Today was the day for a small day trip to Segovia, about an hour from Madrid. And also Dad’s 60th Birthday - Happy Birthday Dad!
We headed off to Madrid (a nice 5ish hr drive) and stopped off and grabbed a few things for lunch.
This was about a 7ish hour drive so we left around 9am and headed across. For some reason this area has lots of sunflowers - sunflower fields and solar panel fields. It is very strange.
After eventually getting out of our hotel (half and hour wait in reception to get through 2 couples in front of us) we headed to Valencia, about a 4 hr drive from Barcelona.
We slept in a little the next morning and had a nice breakfast at the hotel near my Russian friend. I met him the night before while I was waiting for Ben to grab our passports (you need them to enter the Casino, citizens of Monaco are not allowed in). He was coaching his friend on how to sell their idea to some Minister or something - it was quite interesting.
So it was time to leave Bologna, we had a good time, and great pasta - but there was still more to come! I had read about this cool little place on the internets and convinced a friend to ring up and reserve us lunch there (in Italiano). This place was about 4.5 hrs drive from Bologna and only 30 mins from Monaco, but still just in Italy.
So we decided not to end our German tour on a low note, so headed back to ArzMiller for breakfast. This time we didn’t make the same rookie mistake, and we had an apfel strudel each. It was kind of like a baklava but instead of nuts, apple. And crumble.
We left Brussels around 9am, for our road trip to Munich, Germany. Yes it is about an 800km drive, and it took us about 9 hrs in total. Quick stop for morning croissants.
We had a nice drive to Brussels, stopping off at a service station for a delicious croissant and vienoisse au chocolate. Why are the pastries so much better in Europe?
Our next flight from Dubai to Paris was on the new A380 and so we were upstairs in the Business class section. It was a bit strange having the whole of the top level as Business and First, and the service was definitely lacking compared to our first flight.
Got picked up by a lovely guy called Terry, as Emirates offer a free pickup for Business class passengers. He was on time and got us to the airport quickly.
Trying to contain my excitement at this point but there is still a few weeks left to go.
