Skiing - just like riding a bike...

Today was our ski day - and what an unpleasant looking day today was.

Where is the chairlift?

Compared to yesterday, this was the view from breakfast.

Comparison

But as we had committed to giving skiing a go, we went for it. This time our instructor was Heather, and she was nice but it wasn't as fun as yesterday.

We spent a bit of time on the magic carpet and the bunny slope, then headed to the chairlift and managed to do 2 runs on the Blue Bullet before calling it a day.

The weather was pretty miserable, even though I changed gloves twice my fingers were going numb, and the visibility was pretty awful, with it snowing non-stop.

We had burgers again for lunch today - I stuck to the Czar and Ben tried the Pharoah. Burgers are tasty, but pretty pricey - around the $15 mark each.

After going back to the hotel we had a decision to make - stick to skiing or swap back to snowboarding.

Snowboarding pros - - boots are comfy - it was fun

Snowboarding cons - - you spend a lot of time on your bottom - I keep stacking it off the chairlift

Skiing pros - - I didn't fall over - it is like riding a bike, got a few parallel turns happening, felt in control

Skiing cons - - boots were pretty uncomfortable - my knee hurt more while skiing compared to snowboarding

So snowboarding it is!

We swapped our gear over to snowboarding in preparation for tomorrow.

We swapped over to Pear schnapps as well, and had some tasty 2 minute noodles for dinner.
