Last full day in Sevilla - churro hunt...
So today was our last day in Sevilla. Churro hunting was the name of the game.
We went to a churro place about 30 mins walk from where we were staying, and they were good, but we weren’t able to have them with chocolate :(
We got a mixture of churros and porros (bigger, thicker churros) and they were pretty good, but plain, no sugar or anything, and the place to get your chocolate was full.
We decided to eat and walk and found a place to have some orange juice and coffee on the way back.
We also passed the Museum of Beautiful Arts, and decided to go in. I think as it was a Sunday it was free. This was an old house/mansion that had been converted into a museum of Spanish painters. It had a wide range of art, but mainly religious. Some of the artwork was huge, and used to cover doors.
After spending a while there we headed back to our hotel.
For lunch we planned to go back to Zelai, which we did, and had a few new things and a couple of old things. We had some foie (again) as well as jamon, lamb cutlets and solomillio (veal).
In our walks in Sevilla we always went past Spain’s version of Dunkin Donuts, here called Duffin Dagels - how strange.
After packing our cases in preparation for leaving tomorrow, we went for a walk to the north, where we hadn’t gone before.
We ended up stopping at a little place and sharing some cheese, moussaka, and beef cheeks in Pedro Ximinez. Mmm Pedro Ximinez - it is delicious - an after dinner drink, but also good in cooking.
We have enjoyed our time in Sevilla - tried some crazy plankton and some delicious foie - onto Madrid!
