Had a really nice sleep and woke up at a reasonable hour, 8.30am. We had a few things to do/visit/eat today - waffles, pomme frittes, chocolates, leffe blonde and Manneken Pis.

Went on a wild goose chase for a waffles place I read about, but couldn’t find. Meant we went for about an hour walk out of the way, but we stopped off at a little place and had some drinks. My warme chocolat-chaud was very interesting, with a lollipop of chocolate that you put in the hot milk and let it melt.

We then headed towards Manneken Pis and stopped off an had some tasty waffles on the way. I had waffles with strawberries, cream and chocolate, and it was surprisingly good.

Found the Manneken Pis (little boy peeing) which is actually a pretty tiny statue of a naked boy peeing.

Everything in Brussels has these images. We even saw an image of a pomme frittes peeing on another pomme frittes. Needless to say, we didn’t buy no pomme frittes from there!

Stopped at a pub/cafe for a leffe blonde (Ben) and a Coke and some pomme frittes. Ok but nothing special.

Had a bit more of a wander and found Wittamer and Pierre Marcolini, and decided on a few Pierre Marcolini chocolates, truffles and macarons.

We walked past Fritland and had to grab some more frittes with mayonaisse - yum- before eventually heading back to the hotel.

It was a bit late so we just ended up with some room service, packed our cases so we would be ready for the next days road trip.
