Downhill slope...
Another gorgeous day awaited.
We had our normal brekkie, then headed to meet Alex again. This time we went down Bourke St, then down Shakey Knees, then he took us over to Burnt Hut. I saw this dude absolutley stack it on a snowboard, with no helment on, he flex 2-3m in the air and tumbled over and over. Alex yelled at him to get a lesson and wear a helmet, but the guy just kept going. Those people are scary.
Throughout the lesson we both worked on our skills, and I think we are improving each day.
We had a lot of fun, but we are both getting pretty sore/tired so we both had a few breaks today. We mainly stayed on Shakey Knees and Bourke St, although there were some cray cray people going down Bourke St - same story - n00bs with no idea who can't stop, just plain dangerous. We stopped by the pancake place for lunch and shared a mexican pancake and an apple and cinnamon pancake - lets just say we won't be eating much for dinner.
Both of us had been having issues with our shoes so decided to buy some snowboard boots. What a great idea, so much more comfy, and fit a whole lot beter than the rental gear.
After a few more runs we headed down to the village to grab some more sparkling water, and stoped by Mt Buller Chalets for some Hot Apple Cider when the unthinkable happened - they had run out of apple cider! Instead we shared a Long Island Ice tea.
We also found this at the supermarket and couldn't resist.
Our last full day is tomorrow - let's hope it's a good one!
